The Focus Clinic: your complementary health care clinic
The FOCUS programme for PTSD: from 6 sessions*
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, (PTSD), is a disturbing disorder because it is not always apparent, and is not always easily diagnosed. Individuals suffering from PTSD often feel isolated and maintain indirectly this state of PTSD by not talking openly about their symptoms. Various effective treatments are however available to help you overcome this problem and start a normal life again.
* the number of sessions can vary depending on the individual and the presenting symptom.
What is PTSD?
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is characterised by a series of symptoms (nightmares, flashbacks, irritability or excess of anger, hypervigilance...) that last more than one month after having been exposed to a traumatic external stressor (accidents, natural disasters, physical attacks, rape, torture, bereavement, etc..). Untreated, those symptoms may increase in intensity and frequency, leaving the individual in a state of constant physical and emotional alertness. This may lead to panic attacks, acute paranoia, depression and suicide.
The Focus Clinic has specialised in the treatment of PTSD and offers a treatment programme for adults and children suffering from PTSD. If you, or someone you know, has been diagnosed with PTSD, don't wait any longer - contact us at The Focus Clinic now.
