Corporate programme for smoking cessation: the FOCUS solution

More and more European countries are opting for a complete prohibition of smoking in public spaces. Since July, 1st 2007 it is against the law to smoke in England in virtually all enclosed and substantially enclosed public places and workplaces.

Not only is tobacco dangerous for smokers, but passive smoking represents a real danger to those around them. A report published by European Union in March 2006 revealed that 79,000 people in Europe die every year of passive smoking, 7,000 due to passive smoking on their workplace.

The 5 good reasons for implementing  an anti-smoking programme in your working environment:

• anti-smoking intiatives devised by the current Government are likely to intensify in the future
  active and passive smoking kills every year
• legal judgements in Europe have already gone against companies not having an anti-smoking programme in place. In France, an employee successfully sued her former employer for damages, after resigning over the issue  of passive smoking in her working environment

• cigarettes breaks of an employee cost 15 working days per year to employers, and the risk of work accidents is 40 per cent higher with smokers than non-smokers, (information provided by the French monthly magazine, CAPITAL).

Our Corporate programme for smoking cessation is offered in one morning in a group of 10 participants maximum. This programme runs in two phases:

Part I: case history and smoking history assessed for each individual
Part II: smoking cessation and hypnotherapy. Each participant will be offered a FREE hypnotic MP3 file at the end of the session and a 3 months FREE email support.

* a questionnaire will be sent to the employer, and will have to be completed by employees at least 1 week before the Corporate programme for smoking cessation starts.

One of our consultants will either organise the smoking cessation session in our premises in Harley Street, London, or directly in your work place.
