The FOCUS programme for stopping smoking: 1-2 sessions
It is estimated that approximately 13 million Britons smoke. Among these smokers, two thirds of them would like to stop smoking, which indicates that most of them are aware of the dangers of smoking and its negative effects.
You may wish to stop smoking for health reasons, perhaps for financial reasons. Or you may simply want to stay alive longer to see your children become adults and enjoy their company longer. Whatever your reason for stopping smoking is, motivation is of prime importance. Stopping smoking should be a personal decision, not the result of family or peer pressure. Without this motivation you may stop smoking for a short time, but will start again as soon as an external trigger occurs. If you are not 100 per cent motivated to stop smoking, please let us know, as we would like to help you to understand the reasons behind this.
Held in 1 or 2 sessions of one hour each, this programme assesses your motives to stop smoking through a case history taking, and includes clinical hypnotherapy, mental imagery and CBT, using direct suggestions to break the smoking habit pattern.
The Focus Clinic stop smoking programme is available in individual or group sessions. Group sessions have a maximum of 4 participants.
If you wish to stop smoking with The Focus Clinic, please complete our pre-treatment questionnaire. We will contact you as soon as we receive the questionnaire, in order to schedule an appointment. Please be aware that any information communicated in the questionnaire will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
